About Us
Patacake Online was originally created after making cakes for twin son's 21st birthday in 2003. After seeing these cakes at the 21st birthday party, people began to ask if it would be possible to make cakes for them.From then the orders started to come in. In 2005 after enrolling at Barking College and studying for a year, the following qualifications were successfully gained:
City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Design and Craft (Sugarcraft) in the Context of Sugarflowers
City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Design and Craft (Sugarcraft) in the Context of Sugar Decoration.
In 2006, returning to Barking College to further gain knowledge and qualifications, the following was achieved in 2007:
ABC Level 2 Certificate in Cake Decoration (Distinction)
ABC Level 2 Certificates in Wired Sugar Flowers (Distinction)
Winning certificates and awards (gold and silver), for cake decorating at the Chelmsford Branch of The Sugarcraft Guild, notably the "Trudi Plumb Trophy Awarded for Sugarcraft Excellence 2007", boosted both confidence and orders.
